there was this card from my group of closest friends in college. i still remember we wrote wellwishes for each other at klcc food court - a few of us were to leave m'sia at about the same time so we had a 'perfect' dinner followed by movie and supper. then there was one from my sis to wish me happy bday half a month after i arrived at london, asking me to eat more (lol clearly i took her advice very very seriously) and not skimp like a miser. and as usual a bday card from parents with 'to a special daughter' on the cover, some poetic stuff inside, no words from them, just sign-off :) cards from ex - hmm won't mention contents here la hehe. and many more xmas cards and CNY cards from friends...
reading all these made me feel really really blessed and thankful to have so many lovely people around me. it's been a while since i last looked at my mails (maybe 2 years when i last moved?) and i'd say a lot have happened in these two years of working. many a time i felt work has exhausted me, depriving me of time spent with family and friends. and i just realised all it takes to make me happy is as simple as reminding myself that there are still many people who love me, who care for me, who still remember me :) ahh i'm a lucky girl after all.sincere THANK YOU to all of you!
